Mireya Pérez

Mireya Pérez is an English to Spanish interpreter working in the field of K-12 education. Her love for learning and the profession along with the desire to learn from others in the field, led her to create what she calls her "creative outlet" to not only bring the real stories of interpreters and translators front and center but also share them with others to help create more visibility of the profession. She has over 10 years of interpreting experience and loves to fuse topics and fields together with the language industry.

Corinne McKay

Corinne McKay has been a full-time freelancer since 2002, doing French to English translation until 2018, and adding French<>English interpreting after passing the Colorado state court interpreter exam. In 2020-2021, she earned a Master of conference interpreting from Glendon College, and now combines translation and interpreting. She is based in Boulder, Colorado, and served on the Board of the American Translators Association for seven years, including as ATA president from 2017-2019. In addition to her own translation and interpreting work, she runs the online training platform Training for Translators and is the author of How to Succeed as a Freelance Translator, a how-to guide with  more than 15,000 copies in print.

Holly Silvestri

Dr. Silvestri has significant experience in the field of translator and interpreter training in addition to running her own language service provider agency as well as freelancing for other agencies and government entities. Currently she works as Senior Coordinator for Translation, Training, and Curriculum at the National Center for Interpretation at the University of Arizona. Her working languages are Spanish, French and English. She is a founding member of American Association of Interpreters and Translators in Education (AAITE.org) as well as Chair of the Public Relations Committee for Stakeholders Advocating for Fair and Ethical AI in Interpreting Task Force (safeaitf.org). She is also a member of the American Translators Association and her state’s professional association Arizona Translators and Interpreters and regularly presents on various topics relevant to the professions for these organizations and others around the United States.
